After the Beatles me

After the Beatles met a giggling guru called the Maharishi in London in August 1967, they were eager to ‘turn off their minds’ with more transcendental meditation. So in February 1968 they joined Donovan, Mia Farrow and Mike Love from the Beach Boys at the Maharishi’s ashram, located in the Valley of the Saints on the River Ganges in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Beatles wrote much of The White Album here. www.lonelyplanet....

George Town’s Colon

George Town’s Colonial District, #Penang (Malaysia). 'The 2008 Unesco World Heritage declaration sparked a frenzy of cultural preservation, and the city’s charismatic shophouses have been turned into house museums, boutique hotels and chic restaurants. Aggressive drivers aside, it’s also one of the best cities in Southeast Asia to explore on foot.' www.lonelyplanet....
